Dean of the Manship School Jerry Ceppos has certainly made note of the rise of digital media in the classroom, as exemplified by his recent purchase of more than 20 iPads for Manship school faculty. When it comes to mass communication students, the iPad "changes the
product you're producing," according to Lance Porter, associate
professor in the Manship School. Porter gave a presentation to the Manship
faculty before the semester began on how to use the iPad in the
classroom and how it directly affects the curriculum of mass
communication. "It's changing our jobs in a positive way," Porter said. "You really can't fight it." http://www.lsureveille.com/news/students-faculty-embrace-alternatives-to-traditional-textbooks-1.2616772 |
