"We are in the middle of a 3,000 iPad-deployment for our sales force,” SAP Chief Information
Officer Oliver Bussmann said in a telephone interview last
week. “We are using tablets in different functions in SAP
globally and demand is still going up significantly.” Beyond internal use, SAP sees the iPad as key to a strategy of extending its business software
to mobile devices. The company has created 22 iPad apps
for its corporate customers.
Some of those apps will be
announced in early November, SAP said. |
